Exoticflora Thunbergia Erecta Blue – Ornamental Flowering Plants

Thunbergia erecta is a vigorous, herbaceous, perennial woody shrub and short climber that grows to about 6 feet tall and wide. This shrub has small, ovate leaves with entire margins borne opposite on thin, brown stems. The purple flowers have a yellow throat and grow to 1 1/4 inches long and may appear singly or in small clusters. This plant can be grown as hedge, topiary, border plantation in the garden. It remains evergreen throught the year and produce flowers almost 8 months in a calendar year.
